We’ve acted as their carriers, along with our mammalian co-travellers, bats and rats. Life evolves through co-opetition, but also synergy. Our immune systems find a way to suppress and live with these viruses as antibodies in our blood. What CV19 demonstrates clearly is that when you mess wholesale with the biosphere, it messes wholesale with us.
