The Momentous Leap- Day 9: Finding Pockets of the Future in the Present
Preface- The movie with 11 Oscar nominations this year, Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, contains a superb metaphor for the current transition between Era 3 (big governments, corporations, and media rule the degenerative, exclusive “only money matters” economy) and Era 4 (synergistic global/local collaborations between disruptive innovators and positive mavericks co-creating regenerative, inclusive solutions).
The poster below for “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” is an imaginative representation of the chaotic nature of life for most of humanity in the 21st century. As you will see in this superb film, it takes a great deal of effort for the order of the new to emerge out of the chaos of the old “way we were”.
But, in the film, despite fatal chaos attractors that lurk everywhere, not only from the IRS but especially in the giant black hole bagel that threatens to suck the protagonists into its rapidly spinning mouth, Mom and daughter find resolution and a new order on the other side of the chaos of their lives.
Did I mention it is also hilariously funny? Yes, a great sense of humor is essential to survive and thrive in this giant mess of Era 3 designed for big governments, big corporations, and big media, but definitely not for you and me.
