It’s still unclear how integral/ second-tier governance systems can emerge that can regulate the over-consumption and massive inequalities the Anthropocene has produced - especially the energy transition from dirty dead sunlight to renewables. Our political systems are still the “best government money can buy”. And the quality of leadership continues to decline while the costs of getting elected have soared. If we can’t get money, especially dirty money, out of politics, then what must be done?
